Our TechnologiesOur primary approach to the treatment of cancer is to deliver targeted molecular therapies that increase production of normal cancer-fighting proteins. The resultant proteins engage disease-related molecular targets or receptors to produce a specific therapeutic effect. We believe we are able to treat a number of cancers in a way that kills cancer cells without harming normal cells.
Introgen has the manufacturing infrastructure, and numerous process, production and release testing technologies, that support product development and future commercialization efforts.
Technology Platforms
Introgen utilizes a variety of platform technologies to develop novel therapies for cancer. Each of these proprietary technologies elicits its therapeutic effects via a highly targeted mechanism of action. This diversity of platforms provides Introgen with multiple approaches to treating cancer, which include:
- Delivering cancer-fighting tumor suppressors to cancer cells
- Stimulating the patient’s immune system to attack cancer cells
